The Air Force Aid Society is the official charity of the U.S. Air Force since 1942. The basic philosophy of the AFAS assistance is to support Airmen and enhance the Air Force mission by relieving emergency financial distress. The AFAS also administers a robust array of education and community enhancement programs to help their dependents achieve their educational goals and improve the quality of life for Airman & their families.

When unexpected financial emergencies arise, AFAS Provides emergency financial assistance in the form of no- interest loans and or grant with the purpose to help Airman stabilize emergency situations. Submit an online application at:

Community PROGRAMS

AFAS understands the challenges that come with active duty military life, from deployments to PCS orders, and offers targeted community programs to help make everyday life on base a little easier and help take care of military families. Specific AFAS supported community programs offered varies between AFB or SFB installations.

BUNDLES FOR BABIES WORKSHOP

Designed to teach soon to be and new parents basic parenting skills as well as essential financial skills to help them budget for their new baby. It is also a great opportunity to connect with other expectant parents stationed at their base. After completing the workshop, parents will receive a $50 Exchange gift card from AFAS to help purchase some of baby’s first essentials.

HEART LINK SPOUSE ORIENTATION PROGRAM

Heart Link is an Air Force and Space force Program designed to strengthen military families and enhance mission readiness by helping to orient new Air Force or Space Force Spouses (typically 5 years or less) to active duty military life.
