The USAF Academy Military and Family Readiness Center’s Discovery Center Resources offers a quiet, relaxed and inviting place for your every computer and printing need. There are five CAC enabled Internet computers that allow the user to check their personal or military email, post resumes on the Internet, conduct assessments, read local and national job vacancies, research career options, download civilian and military certificates and then print, copy, fax or scan those documents. There are also two shredders to safely dispose of personal documents no longer needed.
In Addition to computers, faxes, shredders, scanner and copy machines, the Discovery Center maintains a library to assist in civilian job searches, “how to” books on a number of subjects, resume writing /federal resume writing, and finding your interests, talents and best jobs available outside of the military. For the student there are books on SAT testing, computer knowledge, LinkedIn, and tips on how to pay for college. A comfortable relaxing lounge is in place for quiet study time. In addition, you may check out library books for your convenience.
Helpful staff are readily available to answer questions and direct you to available resources Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.
