The age for a dependent to receive an ID card is 14 or older per the 2021 DoD Memo.
A dependent that is 17 or under does not require any ID to receive an ID.
If a child has an old ID, please have them bring in the old ID to get replaced with a new one.
Dependents between the age of 18 and older must bring in two forms of government/state issued ID (one must obtain a photo like a driver’s license) to receive a new ID.
Sponsor must be present unless a DD Form 1172 was completed or dependent has a general power of attorney for processing.
Please refer to the “Full Time Student Guide” or “Tricare Young Adult Guide” for additional guidance for dependents ages 21-26.
