Volunteers honor veterans at USAFA Cemetery

May 28, 2025

On Friday, volunteers of all ages gathered at the US Air Force Academy Cemetery to honor our nation’s veterans. In tribute to Memorial Day, flags were respectfully placed on veterans’ graves.

According to The Heroes Project, Memorial Day stands as a solemn tribute to the cost of freedom. It reminds us that the liberties we often take for granted were secured through the bravery and selflessness of countless men and women in uniform. Their sacrifices reverberate through history, serving as a testament to the resilience and unity that define our nation.

The US Air Force Academy Mortuary Affairs Office oversees the Academy Cemetery, which is open to visitors daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
