   EQUESTRIAN CENTER
Horsemanship Lessons
Call to sign up for horsemanship lessons. Lessons are for ages eight and over. For ages six and seven are on a case-by-case basis for private only. Lessons include instruction on riding, grooming, saddling and proper etiquette. Cost: One-hour Private, $55; Semi-Private,
$50; Group, $45.
Group/Special Events
Schedule your group/family outdoor event at the stables: hayrides, guided/unguided group rides, lead line rides, pony petting, picnic area.

Group Hayrides
A 45-minute ride for the whole family around our stables and pasture.
$10/person; free/under two, sitting on parents lap. Call for schedule and reservations
Guided Group Trail Rides
Reservation only. Call to schedule. This is an excellent way to gain riding experience for beginners or learn the trails for seasoned riders. Contact us for Group/Special Event scheduling during the week.
Cost: $50 per person, space limited. For DoD cardholders, add $10 per guest for non-DOD cardholders in party.
Lead Line
Reservation only. Rent a horse to lead your child around for them to gain experience! Cost: 30 minutes $15. For ages 6-12, parent leads horse. Under ages six can rent minis to pet and lead with parents, no riding.
Boarding
Board your own horse(s) at the Equestrian Center! Call for pricing and details. 719-333-2294.
Trailer-Ins
Did you know you can trailer your own horse in to ride on our Trails?
Cost: Day $10, Yearly Pass $120. 719-333-4607.
Unite Program

    RECHARGE FOR RESILIENCY
 Women’s Beginner Backpacking Trip – South Colony Lakes
Aug 12–14; 6:45 am–5 pm. Have you always wanted to go backpacking, but don’t know where to start? Join Outdoor Rec
on an epic three-day, two-night beginner backpacking trip to South Colony Lakes, in the stunning Sangre de Cristo Wilderness Area. The goal of this trip is to provide a supportive learning environment for women to experience backpacking in Colorado! There will be at least one informational meeting before we head out on the trip. Outdoor Rec will provide meals, backpacks, sleeping pads, sleeping bags, tents, stoves/fuel, bear canisters, water-treatment supplies, and any other necessary gear. You will be responsible for clothing, footwear, rain gear, personal items, snacks, and a couple small gear items. Transportation will be provided. No experience necessary, but participants should be in good shape and able to carry 25-40lbs uphill for several miles. Get outside and explore Colorado with us! Only eight spots available. Cost: $50/person, $275 regular.
Overnight Beginner Backpacking Trip
– Lake of the Clouds
Aug 27–28; 6:45 am–4 pm. Lake of the Clouds is located in
the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness Area, and offers spectacular scenic views as you ascend to the lakes located at 11,500 ft. This overnight trip is geared toward people seeking knowledge about backpacking, but without the commitment of two overnights. You will learn how to: set up camp, pack your gear, use a backpacking stove, and many other essential skills of backpacking. There
will be an informational meeting prior to heading out on the
trip. Outdoor Rec will provide meals, backpacks, sleeping pads, sleeping bags, tents, stoves/fuel, bear canisters, water-treatment supplies, and any other necessary gear. You will be responsible for clothing, footwear, rain gear, personal items, snacks, and a couple small gear items. Transportation will be provided. No experience necessary, but participants should be in good shape and able to carry 25-40lbs uphill for several miles.
Cost: $25/person, $200 regular.
RecOn: ONLY for AF active duty and their ID card dependents.

Please let us know when you sign up that you are Air Force Active Duty, status must be verifiable to receive discount.
 R4R ELIGIBILITY: The Recharge for Resiliency initiative is directed specifically toward the Active Duty and Reserve members to include their families at each base. This means that retirees, civilians and foreign military are not eligible for these R4R discounted rates. Other branches of the US military are eligible if they are a part of an Air Force led joint-based scenario, or are permanently assigned to an Air Force base.
