About The Base Library

FREE Books and Magazines

Free paperbacks & magazines are available in the lobby of the library. If you have old magazines or books you wish to give away, please bring them to the library vestibule. Donations of books, DVDs, music CDs, audio books are always welcomed by the library. Tax gift receipts are given upon request for donated materials.

Services Offered

  • Computers with Internet access and Microsoft Office Suite (all keyboards have CAC card readers)
  • Copy Machine: Please ask at the desk for assistance
  • Fax Machine (a calling card is required for all non-local calls)
  • Printing (there is no fee, but we ask that you limit black & white to 10 pages a day or 3 pages a day for color)

  • Music CDs – limit to 10 at any one time.
  • Magazines & Newspapers – Current Issues are non-circulating. Older issues circulate for 3 weeks, no renewals.
  • Education Collection – CLEP, ASVAB & DANTES and other study materials circulate for 3 weeks with 2 renewals.*
  • Games & Puzzles – a variety of strategy games and puzzles for all ages.

Temporary Library Cards

DoD ID cardholders staying in the FAMCAMP, TLF, or in the area temporarily, may apply for a TEMP card that allows items to be borrowed. This includes 1 DVD and up to 5 books at a time.
