The following conditions must be met at all times, NO EXCEPTIONS!
- Personal fire bowls must be approved by the FamCamp sta prior to use, no exceptions.
- Fire bowls must have a minimum ground clearance of 6″
- A mesh lid MUST be in place at all times during use.
- Site preparation/pit location must be located away from over hanging tree branches and all combustible materials cleared from area of use.
- Location must not disturb or damage existing soil cover and vegetation.
- Campfire flame must not exceed 12″ in height and must be contained in the bowl, keep fires small.
- Never leave your campfire unattended, even for a short period.
- Campfire privileges may be revoked if fire is left unattended.
- Campfires must be fully extinguished before retiring for the evening or departing the site.
- All ash or semi burned materials must be disposed of in one of the approved fire cans located on site, see office staff for locations.
- Failure to dispose of personal campfire waste may result in revocation of privileges and or cleaning charges.
- DO NOT bury ash underground or cover with dirt.
- Ash can smolder for long periods of time and then reignite.
- Do not dispose of fire bowl debris in on site dumpsters.
- Prior arrangements must be made with staff if special assistance or allowance is required for any reason.
- Fire wood is available at the office.
- Check with sta for current prices and availability.
- Gathering fire wood from surrounding area is strictly forbidden per USAFA Natural Resources office.
- Do not use on site BBQ grills for camp fires, these grills are for charcoal ONLY!
Peregrine Pines FamCamp offers unlimited Wi-Fi data, subject to outages and poor signal strength. The password for Wi-Fi will be provided by the FamCamp staff at time of check-in.

About FamCamp
Located northeast of Falcon Stadium across Stadium Blvd in a heavily-wooded, rustic location. Reservations can be made 90 days in advance for Active Duty, 60 days for Retirees, DoD Civilians, VHIC users and all other eligible users. Location is satellite-challenged due to heavily-treed sites (no guarantee of reception).
FamCamp amenities include 105 RV sites, 10 tent sites, laundry facilities, bath houses with showers and Wi-Fi.

- AOG ID card holders are authorized to make reservations up to one year in advance for alumni events. Must be an AOG member with ID card or have proof of AOG membership. Length of stay must not exceed seven days.

SPONSORED GUESTS
Guests are based upon current security precautions.
Any guests must be sponsored by eligible users. Contact Famcamp office for policies and procedures.
AOG and VHIC members are NOT permitted to bring additional guests onto the installation.
The USAFA FamCamp does not sponsor guests.
Base entry passes will be required from Security Forces at check-in for overnight stay of guests.
Cadets may make reservations up to one year in advance of graduation and parents weekend for their parents.
Sponsored guests are permitted to stay at the campground during non-holiday times and are limited to 14 days per calendar year. Sponsors must be present to check guests in and all guests must have a visitor pass for the base prior to check-in.
Guests are NOT permitted to stay during the following 2026 dates:
- May 21 – May 27
- July 2 – July 7
- September 3 – September 8
- October 8 – October 13
2026 SITE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Reservations will be for a period up to 30 days from April 1 — October 31. Maximum stay at FamCamp, per family, during the High Season is a total of 30 days: ref USAFA instruction 34-103, paragraph 2.2.1.
All patrons will be required to present ID card as well as current RV/Travel Trailer registration: ref AFI 34-101 paragraph 19.23.2
During Low Season, November 1—March 31, there is limited stay with reduced rates for eligible ID card holders, not to exceed 180 CALENDAR days per year: ref AFI 34-101 paragraph 19.23.
Guests are limited to 14 days per CALENDAR year: ref USAFA instruction 34-103 paragraph 2.24.
Only authorized skirting is accepted, contact FamCamp Office during office hours for details – 719-333-4980.
No oversized propane tanks allowed at sites: ref USAFA instruction 34-103 paragraph 2.2.5.
PET POLICY
Please be aware that the FamCamp is located in a wildlife setting. There are local predators in the area, please keep your pets, yourself, and other guests safe.
- Barking must be kept to a minimum or you will be asked to leave
- Must be on a leash or in a pen, under control, and ACCOMPANIED by an adult at all times when outdoors, NO EXCEPTIONS. Visual accompaniment from inside an RV is not permitted
- Must never be left unattended in or around vehicles even for brief periods
- Must pick up after immediately. Doggie litter bags are located by dumpsters as a courtesy
- Not allowed in laundry/restrooms or office
- Violations will be logged. Repeat offenders will be asked to leave.
RESERVATIONS / PAYMENT POLICY
Reservations are required to stay. Reservations can be made 90 days in advance from date of check-in for Active Duty and 60 days in advance for all other eligible users (Retirees, VHIC users, DOD civilians, etc.)
Note: The Famcamp staff assigns sites by size of RV to maximize the campground. Guest are not allowed to choose sites.
Reservations required for peak season, April 1— October 31. Reservation calls accepted starting January 2 for Active Duty, up to 90 days prior (subject to arrival date) and February 2 for DoD ID Card holders-60 days prior (subject to arrival date). Call the campground phone and leave a message and someone will call you back in a timely manner.
Please note that the office is closed and the messages are retrieved weekly during the off season. Reservations are made in the order they are taken from the answering machine. Please leave a message!
