Shop use fee is $4 per hour/per person.
Additional fees required for use of specific tools.
ABOUT USAFA Wood Shop
We are fortunate to have the only military wood shop in Colorado. The wood shop has tools for everyone from the serious woodworker to the hobbyist. Some of the tools we have include table saws, lathes, scroll saws, routers, band saws, planer, jointer, drum and belt sanders. As well as numerous hand tools for assembly and finishing. For new customers, a safety class is required prior to using the wood shop. Customers with a Use Card issued from another military facility will receive a local safety briefing prior to use of the wood shop. Storage of projects is limited and must be approved by the manager.
A variety of beginning woodworking projects are offered throughout the year.
Wood Shop Safety & Orientation Class
Wood Shop Safety & Orientation Class is required. Cost is $15 per person. This class is required before using the wood shop. Upon course completion, patrons will be issued a safety card, which is honored at all military wood shops.
Classes always held on a Thursday. Class size is limited. Call 333-4579 for availability!
