About Vandenberg Outdoor Recreation
Open to all active duty, cadets, DoD civilian employees and military retirees mid-October to mid-April. We have everything you need to enjoy the slopes on your next skiing or snowboarding adventure! Come check out our men and women’s variety of ski jackets, pants, gloves, face masks and more.
We rent out items including skis, snowboards, boots, poles, snowshoes, sporting equipment, ski & snowboard helmets. Services we offer include wax & sharpen skis/snowboards, full tune-ups for skis/snowboards, ski/snowboard binding mounts, binding testing, base repair and ski remounts.
Airport Shuttle Transportation For Cadets
The airport bus shuttle schedule for Thanksgiving and Winter Break will be available the second week of October from the Cadet Liaison or Parent Group President. Parents can get the schedule through their cadet or their local parents club. Spring Break schedule TBD.
Call Vandenberg Outdoor Recreation (ODR) at 719-333-4602 for dates and times, and to purchase shuttle tickets for Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Breaks.
Outdoor Adventure Program
Rock climbing, ice climbing and wilderness adventure trips are featured throughout the year including camping, whitewater rafting and skiing. The Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP) offers a shuttle service to and from the cadet area for trips. Come see what we have for you!
