About Our Property

Rampart Lodge is an Air Force Inns facility with 77 guest rooms, many of which have been remodeled, and 20 extended-stay facilities (Temporary Living Facilities or TLF). Rampart Lodge offers a nicely equipped cardio fitness room, a sundry area with complimentary coffee bar and a selection of Air Force Academy souvenir retail items.

The lodge is located next door to the collocated Falcon Club and is open to all eligible DoD patrons and their immediate family members and cadet families on a space-available basis.

 

Space Available Policy

The Rampart Lodge accepts reservations up to 365 days/1 year in advance for all room types except TLFs. TLF reservations can be made 30 days in advance, with the exception of PCS orders. Space A reservations can be made for up to 10 days when available. If room is unavailable, lodging can create a Wait List and call if room becomes available.

Pet Policies at TLF:

Pets are not allowed except in designated TLF facilities.

Pets must be leashed at all times.

Pets must never be left outside without owner.

Pick-up after pets is required.

Lodge Information and Policies

AIR FORCE INNS PROMISE
Ensuring our guests have a clean, comfortable room to guarantee a good night’s rest and pleasant stay is our goal. If any part of your stay with us is not satisfactory, please let the lodging manager or front desk know so they can try to make it right for you.

FORGOT AN ITEM?
We provide complimentary facial/deodorant soap and shampoo/conditioner and body lotion during your stay. Housekeeping will gladly restock these items by request only. If you need additional toiletry items after hours, please come see us at the front desk. We have a selection of items available for purchase as well.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
Guests are required to be properly clothed in order for the Housekeeper to enter the room.

Stocked Rooms
Rooms stocked with resale items (sodas, candy, liquor, etc.) are replenished on an as needed basis. Please pay for these items using the pre-printed inventory envelope in your room by check or cash. These charges may also be paid as part of your checkout total.

Room Etiquette
Keep all valuables out of sight, stored securely in luggage or use the room safe provided for your use.

Please keep rooms neat and orderly by picking up and keeping personal clothing stored in appropriate storage areas. Housekeepers are not authorized to handle personal items to clean the room. Any items left on the bed, floor, or dressers will prevent the housekeepers from making the bed, dusting, or vacuuming the room.

A cleaning fee of $75 will be assessed to your room charges if your quarters are beyond housekeeping standards.

If the Do Not Disturb sign is not removed from your door by 11 am, we will not be able to service your room. Please contact the front desk if you wish to set up service after this time. Service will be provided as long as housekeeping staff is still on the premises. For health and safety reasons, housekeepers are required to enter rooms every 24 hours regardless of a Do Not Disturb sign posted on the door.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES (CONT’D)
Food items should always be sealed and stored properly.

Non-commercial or personal cooking appliances are not authorized for use in the rooms. Please use only the cooking devices that are provided in the rooms.

Guests are responsible for the conduct of their children and visitors. This includes any damages they may cause.

Lodging linens used to clean cars, boots, makeup, etc. may result in your account being charged to replace destroyed linens.

Please refrain from storing bicycles in rooms or stairwells. A sheltered storage area is available on request.

Please note while living in the quarters, all supplies, equipment, and fixed assets are your responsibility. Damage to the television, remote control, bedding, furniture, or carpeting will result in reparation, replacement, and/or cleaning at your expense.

Please be considerate of other guests by observing quiet hours between 10 pm – 8 am.

SMOKING AT RAMPART LODGE
All rooms are nonsmoking to include e-cigarettes. Please refrain from smoking inside of the building.

If smoking in the room is found and confirmed, a cleaning fee up to $150 will be assessed to your room charges.

Designated smoking areas are located outside of the service Building #6220, east of the Pine Valley TLF area, east and west sides of building 3130 and the back patio area of building 3134. Signs are posted identifying the designated smoking areas. (Please see map for designated smoking areas). If you have any questions, contact the front desk “0”.

 

PET POLICIES
We have six pet-friendly TLFs available on a first come first serve basis. For information on these units, contact the front desk. There are designated walking areas with rest stations on the north and south side of building 6261.

Please do not bring pets into any lodging facility that is not designated pet friendly, at any time. A cleaning fee up to $150 will be assessed to your room charges for pets found in a non-designated pet-friendly room or on the premises. Guests will be asked to find lodging elsewhere.

Lodge Sundry

We are delighted to offer our guests Sundry Shop order pickups and deliveries. Available from 7 am to 6 pm every day.

Choose any item(s) from our Sundry Shop menu and fill out the order form found in the front of your book.

You may call our Front Desk staff for an immediate order, or drop off the completed form for pick up or delivery at a later time. We will have your order ready, or delivered by the time you indicate on the form and charge your guest account.

  • Minimum order for delivery is $3
  • We will include a $1 delivery fee for orders between $3 and $9.99
  • Orders of $10 or more will be delivered at no charge

Housekeeping

Expert housekeeping services are provided daily from 0800 to 1600 hours.

Each room has a Do Not Disturb sign. If this sign is displayed on your door after 1100 hours, we will not enter or service your room for that day. You may call the front desk to request service after this time. Service will be provided, as long as housekeeping staff is still on the premises.

We cannot allow a room to go unattended for more than 24 hours. We realize there may be some instances where people are scheduled to work unusual shifts and don’t want to be disturbed. If this situation occurs, please contact the front desk to schedule a convenient time to service your room.

Bed sheets are changed at least once a week (depending upon the day you arrived). Sheets are also changed, when guests stay longer than one week and upon checkout. To avoid washing clean linens, please place all soiled linens in plain view on the floor and keep clean linens on the shelves or towel bars.

Please do not use the towels to clean cars, shoes, etc. You will be charged replacement costs for misused linens.

Housekeeping WILL NOT make your bed if personal belongings are left on it. They are not authorized to remove them.

If you have a special housekeeping request, do not hesitate to speak with your housekeeper or call the Operations Manager at ext. 4.

Amenities

Our rooms are equipped with many useful amenities to help your stay be pleasant and comfortable. It is our earnest desire to maintain a warm, relaxing atmosphere for you. Listed below are a few items provided for your comfort. Please keep in mind that not all rooms have the same brand or type of equipment, so instructions may vary from room to room. If you experience difficulty, please contact housekeeping or the front desk staff for assistance.

COFFEE MAKERS
Please do not operate the coffee pot dry or overfilled. Please do not put any liquids other then water in the holder or use the coffee maker for any other purpose than for making coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.

Instructions for 12-cup coffee maker:
Place a filter pack in the brew basket; fill carafe to fill line with cold water; lift the top of the unit and pour water in slowly; replace carafe under brew basket; press button on the unit to start brewing; when light goes out coffee is ready.

Instructions for a 1 cup coffee maker:
Insert disposable brew basket and coffee filter pack into coffee maker. Fill cup with water and pour into reservoir. Place coffee cup below brew basket. Press and release start button. Light will go out when brewing process is complete. Allow coffee maker to cool for one minute between cycles.

Instructions for Keurig pod coffee system:
Instructions are also located on coffee system.

  • Choose Keurig Coffee Pod, Insert into Keurig machine and close lid.
  • Add Water to Fill and close lid.
  • Place Cup onto Cup Tray- Ensuring steady blue light appears around brew button.
  • Press blue lighted brew button and Enjoy!

 

IRON AND IRONING BOARD
An iron and ironing board are provided in each room for your convenience. Please do not leave the iron plugged in or unattended. If using the steam feature on the iron, please empty all water out of the iron after each use.

TELEVISION
Cable Television service is provided in all rooms. Notify the front desk if you are experiencing any difficulties. Please refer to TV/Radio tab for a listing of channels. You may also view a TV guide listing on channel 2.

DVD PLAYER
Players are available for check-out at front desk. To use the DVD player: LG Remote-Power, Input, and Select AV-1; Phillips Remote-Power, Source, Select AV-1, press the right arrow. If you need assistance please contact our Front Desk by pressing “0”

MICROWAVE OVEN
Microwaves are provided in all rooms. Please ensure metal utensils are not used when cooking items in the oven. If your microwave is a push button model, follow these basic instructions for use: When cooking on HIGH, simply set cook time by touching the number pads for the amount of time and push the START button. With some models, you will need to push the cook button before entering the cooking time. For cooking at different power levels, set cooking time, then push the POWER button and then the power level desired, 9-High, 7-Med, 5-Med Low, 3-Low, 1-Warm.

**NOTE** TLF unit microwaves are plugged into a unit with a GFI switch. If the unit does not have power, push the button in the center of the outlet to reset the GFI.

ALARM CLOCK RADIO
Clock radios are provided in each room for your listening enjoyment. The clock is already auto-set to our MTN Standard Time. Instructions for setting up the alarm are as follows: Press the Alarm Set Button. The wake time on the display will flash. Press the minus or plus button to set the alarm time. Press alarm on/off to set time and to turn on/off alarm clock.

NOTE: Press ‘Wake’ to choose a sound of tone or radio for alarm sounds.

LINEN AND TOWELS
Do not remove linen items from the room. This may result in you being charged to replace linens. Additional supplies may be obtained by contacting housekeeping or front desk staff

WASHER AND DRYER
Laundry facilities are provided free of charge for all guests. (See map for directions) Lodging is not responsible for the loss of clothing left unattended in the laundry room. If a washer or dryer becomes inoperative, please contact housekeeping or the front desk so that the appliance repair contractor can be notified. Pine Valley TLF’s have individual washer and dryers in each unit. Laundry supplies are available for sale in all facilities. Laundry supplies are also available for sale at the Lodging Mini-Store. Liquid bleach is not permissible in our facilities.

PACK & PLAY
Pack & Plays are available for TLF guests. If one is not readily available in your TLF, please contact housekeeping or the front desk to have one delivered to your quarters.

SUNDRY MINI STORE
In addition to the complimentary amenities in your room, a selection of sundry items are available for sale at the Lodging Mini Store located across from the front desk reception area.

ICE MACHINE
Ice machines are located in the main lobby across from the public restrooms in building 3130 and on both floors in building 3134. TLF facilities have ice makers in each refrigerator.

BBQ GRILL
A grill is located behind building 3134 and the TLF. Please be sure to clean up after yourself so that the next guest can use it. Turn off the propane tank after each use. The front desk has BBQ utensils. Please clean them prior to returning them.

LOST AND FOUND
Lost and found items are kept in a secured area, adjacent to the front desk. Misplaced items will be kept for 30 days before being disposed of according to local procedures. Please contact the Front Desk at extension “0” for any assistance. There is a $10 processing fee, plus any shipping charges, for items returned to a guest through the mail.

LIQUORS & BEVERAGES
A selection of beer, wine, liquors, soda, juice and mixers are available for sale. Liquor miniatures are sold behind the reception desk. DV suites are stocked with some of the more popular items.

EXERCISE ROOM
Our fitness room is opened 24 hours a day and is located in Room 114 Building 3130 on the ground floor of C Lobby. The fitness room is equipped with a state-of- the-art elliptical machine and treadmill. We also offer a sit-up area, towels and shower facilities. Head phones for the exercise equipment are available for check out at the front desk.

BUSINESS CENTER
Business centers are located upstairs in the main lobby of Bldg 3130 and the main lobby of Bldg 3134. The business centers are opened 24 hours a day and offer a computer and printer for your use. Fax service is available at the front desk. We also have high speed wireless internet available in all our areas.

TLF Information

PETS
There are six pet friendly TLF units available on a first come, first served basis. Pets are NOT authorized in any lodging facility that is not designated pet friendly. Violators will be assessed a $150 cleaning fee.

CHILDREN
Parents who do not exercise sufficient supervision over their children will be asked to leave.

A playground area is available for your children’s pleasure. Children must be supervised while using the play area.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
Occupants are responsible for washing the dishes, cleaning the kitchen, and cleaning the stove. A $75 fee will be charged if these items are not done.

VEHICLES
Guests are authorized to temporarily park their oversized vehicles to include- U-Hauls, RVs, and 5th wheels in the Youth Center Baseball Field located adjacent to Airman and Family Readiness Center on Pine Valley Loop during their stay. Guests are restricted/limited to parking at the South and East end of the parking lot. This will allow for residents and participants to utilize the park as intended.

Guests are required to place the “Temporary Parking” placard, provided by the lodging staff, in the window facing the drive alley to allow for SFS and Youth Center staff to easily identify the vehicle as lodging guest. Failure to do so could potential run the risk of a parking ticket or towing.

SERVICES
Any special housekeeping problems such as accidents, broken or malfunctioning equipment, should be brought to the housekeeper’s attention with the maintenance card. Emergencies should be called in to the Front Desk or ext. 7.

Amenities such as coffee, sugar, shampoo, etc. are provided on a daily basis during your stay.
