CADET CHAPEL

The Cadet Chapel is the most popular man made attraction in Colorado, with more than a half million visitors every year. The chapel’s aluminum, glass and steel structure soars more than 150 feet into the Colorado sky. Its 17 spires can be easily spotted from Interstate 25, several miles east.

NOTE: The Chapel is now closed for building upgrades until 2027. There will be no entry to the chapel during construction.

PIKES PEAK

As the most visited mountain in North America and the second most visited mountain in the world, Pikes Peak forms a stunning backdrop for Colorado Springs and the Garden of the Gods. At an altitude of 14,115 feet above sea level, Pikes Peak is a must see. Due to construction of a new summit house, access to the summit is only available on a shuttle you can catch at Devil’s Playground at mile 16. You can also drive your vehicle to the lower reservoirs for fishing and hiking.

CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN ZOO

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is America’s only mountainside zoo, located southwest of downtown Colorado Springs. With an elevation of 6,800 feet above sea level the zoo covers 140-arce of which 40 acres are in use. The animal collection includes more than 750 animals, representing nearly 150 different species, with more than 30 endangered species. The zoo is open
year-round.

SEVEN FALLS

Seven Falls in Colorado Springs is a series of seven cascading waterfalls, reaching a total of 181 feet. Seven Falls made National Geographic’s list of international waterfalls. Visitors can view the scenic wonder of Seven Falls from either the top of the 224 step staircase or from the Eagle’s Nest viewing platform which can be accessed via elevator. Native American dance performances can also be viewed.

OLYMPIC TRAINING CENTER

The US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs is home to athletes and coaches as they train for the Olympic Games. It is the former home of Ent Air Force Base and the North American Defense Command. It officially became USOC administrative headquarters in July 1978. The center provides housing, dining, recreational facilities and other services for up to 557 coaches and athletes at one time.

CLIFF DWELLINGS

Explore the fascinating architecture of the ancient Anasazi and browse through two museums featuring cultural displays all overlooking the historic town of Manitou Springs. Be sure to include Manitou Cliff Dwellings during your visit to the Pikes Peak Region. The magic and mystery of the Native American culture is sure to delight visitors of all ages.

ROYAL GORGE

The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park has proven the test of time as a great attraction for all ages. Experience the breathtaking views , exhilarating thrills, and historical treasures in this 360-acre natural wonder. The bridge is 880 feet long and 18 feet wide and 1,000 feet above the Arkansas River. It has a wooden walkway consisting of over 1000 planks. The bridge is suspended from towers that are 150 feet high. The Bridge is listed in the Register of Historic Places.

CAVE OF THE WINDS

An ideal family tour! You’ll wind your way through nearly a half-mile of Colorado caverns. You’ll experience total cave darkness, and explore the wonders of the underground. Cave of the Winds Mountain Park is one of the highest show caves in the country! There is a lantern tour, caving class, the Bat-a-Pult, an epic 1200-foot aerial attraction, Wind Walker Challenge Course and Terror Dactyl thrill ride.
